The Coelacanths since 1979

A national sports association, the Comoros Football Federation was founded in 1979. The FFC brings together all football clubs in the Union of the Comoros. It manages national and international competitions and delegates regional competitions to regional leagues.

In 2000, it became affiliated with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA), the Council of Southern Africa Football Association (COSAFA), and the Union of Indian Ocean Football Federations (UFFOI).

In 2005, it became affiliated with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
